Note: Because of the CPSIA legislation that went into effect on February 10, 2009, I am no longer able to sell bows on alligator or French clips (barrettes.) This law requires any product intended for the primary use of a child under 12 to be tested by a third party for lead and phthalates. It would not be cost-effective for me to have this type of testing done on each bow that I make. However, I am still able to make my burp cloths, bibs, ruffle socks, and fru-fru elastics because they are made entirely of textiles. Thankfully the CSPC has made an exemption to this law for textiles (since they are innately lead-free.)
